OUR BLOG

WHERE WE'RE FROM AND WHEN WE GO

The Sunrise Sams Chapter of Good Sam is comprised of members from the Sacramento area, including south Sacramento, Orangevale, Citrus Heights, Antelope and Roseville. We are mostly  retired members that are able to attend outings starting Monday and last until Thursday, when we head for home. Outings occasionally extend to Friday or Saturday  when our destination is further away or along the coast. We travel the 3rd week of the month, except for November and December when we move it back a week or two so that our travel week doesn't interfere with holidays.

WHO ARE WE?

Our chapter has a good core of RVers that have traveled together for many years. We have an assortment of RV's, including travel trailers, 5th wheels and motorhomes.

Members benefit from the collective wisdom of RV maintenance from the diverse group of      experienced campers who are willing to share their years of experience!

WHERE WE GO:

Our members have traveled up and down and across the Central Valley on I-80,I-5, Highway 99-70 North, Highway 99 South as well as highways leading to the coast. We usually stay fairly close to home, but have traveled to Bodega Bay, Fort Bragg, Truckee, Vacaville,         Corning, Oroville, McCloud, Casa De Fruta in Hollister, Carson City NV, Plymouth, San Andreas, and Angel Camp to name a few.

ACTIVITIES

These  are an important part of our outings. The outing hosts plan trips to museums,  California Missions, waterfalls, Wineries, and lunch/dinner at local restaurants so that we can     enjoy what the area has to offer. Hanging out and talking or playing games around the propane or wood fire pit after dinner are special times. Some members enjoy playing games in the  clubhouse      after dinner or working a puzzle together. You can always find impromptu get togethers in the

afternoons at a member's trailer for a social visit.

WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN OUR CHAPTER:

This is a great group of people that enjoy traveling, socializing, eating, and visiting                       new places together.

When you become a member and want to host an outing, you will be able to choose where the chapter will go, plan what we will see, and coordinate what we will eat. It doesn't get any better than that
